Fruit Salad Puree (5-6 months
Ingredients
1 nectarine
1 dessert apple
1 ripe pear
25g/1 oz fresh or frozen raspberries or strawberries
Method
1 Cut a nectarine or peach if half, discarding the stone, peel and chop. Peel, quarter and core the apple and pear and slice thinly.
2 Put the prepared fruits, the hulled raspberries and strawberries and 15ml/1 tbsp water in a saucepan. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes until the fruit is soft.
3 Press the mixture through a sieve or process and the sieve to remove the berry pips – discard pips.
Variation – Peach and Melon Blush
To make 175ml/6 floz/3/4cup, use 1 ripe peach and 1/4melon. Peel and half the peach, discarding stone and cut up the fruit. Scoop seeds out of melon and cut away skin. Roughly chop melon into small pieces
Puree or sieve fruit until completely smooth.
